An unusual but increasingly more frequent request for our castings has come from the props departments and armourers of film companies, both British and International, whereby we have been commissioned to make sword hilts, sword guards, daggers and various other armoury components, along with costume jewellery, buckles and a variety of other items for use as film props.

Recent projects have included work on "Saving Private Ryan," "The Mummy," "Gladiator," "Troy," "King Arthur," "Alexander" and "Kingdom of Heaven." Our mix of traditional skills combined with modern techniques, attention to detail and flexibility means that film-makers rely on Devon Metalcrafts to produce the unique items they require, on time and on budget.
